Mountaineering Leadership II 

This four-day workshop is a preparatory course to prepare leaders and team members for expeditions on PNW volcanoes such as Tahoma (Mt. Rainier) and Koma Kulshan (Mt. Baker). The course will take place on the slopes of Koma Kulshan and will cover expedition camping, glacier travel, glacier rescue, and group management on glaciated terrain. There will be three days of instruction and one day for a summit attempt of Koma Kulshan. 

*For the August 11-14 course, we will be partnering with TrailMixed to offer a womxn of color only course!
All applications for this course must be submitted by March 16th.

Prerequisites

- Belay certified at gym
- Proficient at commonly used knots
- Backcountry camping, Leave No Trace

- July 14-17, 2023

- August 11-14, 2023 (women of color only)

Tuition

$1020 - 1235 (sliding scale, scholarships available)

NOTE: Scholarship applications for the July courses are due April 1st
