Mountaineering Self Rescue

This 1.5 day workshop covers how move injured team mates solo or as part of a group using items they already carry with them on hikes and over nights. Also covered will rapel and ascension techniques and technical rope systems to help lower a climber down steep terrain if they need assistance. 

 

Hikers, snow shoes, mountaineers and skiers will find this that much of this course fills gaps left by a WFR or WFA first aid type course. Mountaineers will find this course fills gaps left by a rock climbing self rescue course.

Tuition

$250-400 (sliding scale, scholarships available)

NOTE: Scholarship applications are due by March 10th

Prerequisites

Familiar with mountaineering knots
Prior rappel training strongly suggested
